DNA Testing

Stat Health Is Here for Immigration and Paternity DNA Testing

DNA testing has become quite common these days for a number of issues; with Paternity and Immigration DNA testing being the most common. The process starts with a call to Stat Health in Rockland County New York: 845-358-7828 or by filling in the form below.

  1. We will schedule all involved individuals to obtain a DNA sample collection.
  2. The actual collection is rather simple and painless. It is done by swabbing the inside of the cheek (called a buccal swab). In legal matters, a reliable third party (someone who does not benefit from the results) is required to take and label the sample, as well as certify and ship it to a qualified lab .

The certified report is then sent to the U.S. based petitioner and the requesting immigration office.

Paternity DNA Testing

DNA testing can establish parent-child relationships. This is generally used to determine who the child’s father is: though in some instances it may also be needed to prove who the mother or other family members are. The courts have used DNA test results, performed by accredited laboratories as the most reliable way to determine a biological relationship.

DNA samples are collected at our medical facilities here in New York. All DNA sample analysis is performed by DDC

Who is DDC, and why is the lab important?

DNA Diagnostics Center (DDC) is an accredited AABB testing lab. Not all DNA testing labs are certified for immigration documentation. Proving the biological relationship between the petitioner and the beneficiary by an accredited AABB immigration testing lab is required when documentation, such as birth certificates, is deemed insufficient or inconclusive by the immigration authorities. An AABB testing facility can perform paternity, maternity, sibling, or grandparent, relationship tests as needed for the immigration process; as well as establishing family relationships in other legal matters.

Who receives the results in paternity DNA testing and how long does it take?

The results are usually delivered in four days: though it can be expedited in some cases. The recipient depends largely on whether the DNA testing is ordered by the courts, lawyer, or individuals.
